End of September!

I can't believe it is the end of September already! Things are going very well! Last weekend, we flew home for a few days because we were in our friends' wedding. We had an amazing time at the wedding and we are so honored that our friends asked us to be part of their special day. ♥ We got back on Monday night which meant that this past week felt really short because Trevor only had to work 4 days. Saturday, Trevor and I went to a fashion show...I know, not really our scene, right? Well, his coworker/our good friend was in a fashion show. It was a battle of the salons so it was really modeling different hair styles rather than clothing. Each of the salons had a theme (most were movie themes) and  it was cool to see the different hair styles. We got to support our friend and the proceeds went to the local children's hospital. So even though we won't be attending any more runway shows for a while, it was still a fun time. Today, Trevor won an award for Outstandin...

Update!

So, just a quick update: things are going well here! It has been pretty boring this week. I don't start my new job until the 29th, so it is a lot of sitting around and waiting. I did have coffee with a friend from college the other day! It was good to see a familiar face and bring a little bit of IUP to Tucson. I am getting more familiar with the area! I hardly ever use my GPS (unless I am going someplace new) and the house is just about put together. We are super lucky and things have been going amazing!! :)

Post Cards from PA.

Last week, Trevor and I went to a local antique mall here in Tucson. We found a section of post cards so we decided to look through the PA ones...We ended up coming home with all these post cards. Some from of Pittsburgh, some of Erie (his hometown), some of Johnstown (where he lived right before enlisting), a couple with wooden boats (I am still a Miklos) and a couple random ones we liked. We were not able to find any from Conneaut Lake or Indiana but we did get a lot of good ones of other places that mean something to us. It's funny how there was this piece of home so far away.

This amazing week!

Hey, everyone! So this week has brought lots of good news. It's crazy how much has happened this week. First of all, my name is OFFICIALLY Deanna Polaski, according to social security and the state of Arizona. I got my Arizona driver's license today (well, at least a temporary one...still waiting for the real one) I registered to vote in this state today as well. I also got a job!! I start at the end of the month. It's amazing how many good things have happened this week! Hopefully next week is just as good! Then, before we know it, we will be back in PA for our good friends' wedding! Can't wait!! :) -Dee
